Please make sure the good copy is in front and that all worked handed in is dated.  Please use the black files I gave you to put all your work in.

** Today in class we came up with 7 literature circle roles. I have added two extra roles to help with the workload when reading.**

Hash-tag Worthy - Find powerful quotes and explain the significance in a well written paragraph. You must be able to explain why that quote stood out and why it is powerful. 

Siri - Record how the setting changes throughout the chapter. Also, research any references made about real people and or places within the book. 

Example: Paul Newman is spoken about from chapter 1. Who is he? What significance does he have to the book?

What is Science Fiction?


Brainstorm:  What words come to mind when you think of science fiction? Write down your thoughts.

Define the boundaries of Science Fiction:
  1. View a selection of the movie trailers.
